Today the Department of Unexpected Interspecies Friendship is hanging out with a group of rescued rhinos and their playful goat friends at the Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary. Located in South Africa’s Mpumalanga province, Care for Wild is the largest rhinoceros orphanage and rehab center in the world.
The lounging rhinos allow their bodies to be used as a delightful playground for the goats, who appear to feel that romping around atop rhinos is the best thing ever. They’re probably right. When the rhinos get tired of the goat games, they simply get up and relocate, which the goats don’t mind at all, because friends respect each other’s boundaries:
