Today the Department of Astonishing Optical Illusions travels to the Icelandic town of Ísafjörður where street painting firm Vegi GÍH collaborated with Ralf Trylla, the city’s environmental commissioner, to replace a traditional zebra crosswalk with this awesome 3d optical illusion.

The project is part of the city’s effort to raise motorist awareness about the importance of slowing for pedestrians at crosswalks. Visit Iceland Magazine to learn more.
