Wedding pictures are one of the most important parts of the matrimonial ceremony. Two of my best friends married in the summer last year, and I can say that about 90 percent of it was just an endless series of photographs, which is fair enough. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and you’ll want to make it as special as possible. But how do you make your wedding photos stand out? How can you make them original and captivating?
Ashley Schmeider and James Sisson wanted something monumentally epic for their wedding, so they decided to trek all the way to the base camp of Mount Everest for a photoshoot at the mountain that was nearly big enough as their love for one another. Accompanied by photographer Charleton Churchill, they reached the 17,000-foot-high base camp of Everest after three weeks of braving ice, altitude sickness and geographic pitfalls. Once they arrived, they said their vows at the foot of the highest mountain on the planet.
1. A view of the peak
2. A tender embrace between lovers
3. A loving look into each other’s eyes
4. Even the climb to base is long and arduous
5. The wedding dress is as white as the snowcaps
