Believe it or not, it’s been 20 years since Teletubbies first aired. Who can forget those four colourful creatures with TVs in their stomachs?

Created by Ragdoll Productions, Teletubbies soon became a global hit. During its initial run, the show won several BAFTA awards and had a single based on its characters top the UK charts. Though a revival series has been broadcast, the original series which ran from 1997 to 2001 continues to be aired around the world – testament to its ongoing success. Soon after the show aired, its central characters Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Lala and Po all became fan favourites. However, not many know the actors behind these famous names.
