The Guy Who Needs 18 Million Retweets For A Year’s Free Nuggets Is On Track To Break The Retweet Record

There are few things in a fast food restaurant more delicious or popular than chicken nuggets, but 16-year-old Carter Wilkerson went above and beyond to declare his adoration for the bite-sized bits of breaded chicken breast. Last week, Carter popped the question to Wendy’s when he asked the fast food outlet how many retweets he’d need for a year’s supply of chicken nuggets from their store.

The Wendy’s Twitter account, which is notorious online for its sassy and savage social media presence, replied promptly with a mountainous number of retweets: 18 million. For reference, Ellen’s celebrity selfie at the 2014 Oscars is the most retweeted post of all time, and it currently stands at just 3.3 million retweets. Carter Wilkerson was not deterred by having to set a world record in order to claim his prize (and surely with it, eternal happiness), and now it appears that Carter Wilkerson has been given a nugget of hope in his seemingly impossible quest.
