The Department of Beguiling Book Art was delighted to learn that London-based artist Jeremy May of Littlefly (previously featured here) has created new pieces of literary jewelry. Each ring, bracelet, necklace, and pair of earrings is entirely unique, made from layers of pages of old books, laminated together, shaped, and then finished with high gloss coating. As a finishing touch, each piece of biblio-jewelry is contained in the same book from whence its pages came.

Each piece is impossible to replicate, and is unique to the  wearer. The beauty of the jewels extends within the piece: text and images pass all the way though the object, only exposed at the surfaces – giving a tantalising glimpse of the book within.

Visit Littlefly to check out more of Jeremy May’s creations.
