Spanish street artist Pejac (previously featured here) has taken a break from his trademark trompe l’oeil murals and traveled to East London to create his first urban intervention. It’s not terribly uncommon to spot a pair of shoes hanging from street light high above city streets. In fact most people probably don’t notice them at all. For a series of four whimsical installations entitled “Downside Up,” Pejac recreated this urban phenomenon with a surreal twist: instead of dangling down, the shoes appear to defy gravity by magically hovering above the street lights.
