The historic event saw lovable, nerdy Clyde dropped off at a sleepover by his two loving fathers, Harold (voiced by Wayne Brady) and Howard (voiced by Michael McDonald). Harold and Howard are not only gay, they are also an interracial couple.
Harold and Howard are depicted as super adorable and caring parents, who make sure to prepare Clyde with all the necessary supplies for a nerdy boy’s perfect sleepover. The essential items included a sleeping bag, a humidifier, a dehumidifier, earplugs, allergy medications, and, of course, feetsy pajamas. And just like any parents, Harold and Howard get emotional about dropping their kid off at a sleepover for the first time. Howard in particular throws his arms around his husband and sobs about having to let his precious baby go.
