Last week, the former NFL player Aaron Hernandez committed suicide in his prison cell, just days after he was found not guilty of a double murder. With Hernandez already serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd in 2013, the Massachusetts Department of Corrections informed the public of Hernandez’s suicide, saying that he “hanged himself utilizing a bed sheet that he attached to his cell window”. The former tight end for the New England Patriots was 27 years old.
However, rumours are beginning to circulate about the final few months of his life, with every story adding to the unfolding mystery surrounding the late athlete. Following his suicide, authorities found three notes left by Hernandez. One of those notes is apparently intended for 22-year-old Kyle Kennedy, a fellow inmate with Hernandez at the Sousa Baranowski Prison in Shirley, Massachusetts. Now, Kennedy’s lawyer, Larry Army Jr, has held a news conference that may help to shed light on Kennedy’s perspective on the suicide.
