You know, in all the relationships I’ve been in, I’ve learned one important thing: men don’t really get the importance of cosmetics. Makeup isn’t really something that our gender has to trouble ourselves with, and we can’t seem to understand its importance. I can remember many times when I followed my ex up and down the makeup aisle of shops, for what seemed like hours, while she browsed brushes and concealers. To me, they all looked more or less generic, but to her, there was a world of difference between one brand and the next.
Similarly, I never understood the urgency of putting makeup on. For me, it was just something that forced her to take longer to get ready and was a source of frustration. For her, she felt naked without it. It was pretty aggravating.
Of coursem applying makeup is an even more obscure task as far as I’m concerned. I don’t really get it at all. There seem to be about 20 or 30 highly-specialised instruments that you need to put it on. But recently, one girl decided to make things easier for herself by applying her makeup via a more natural method; one that might be the weirdest so far.
This is 18-year-old Johnna Hines and her 20-year-old boyfriend Damon Richards, who live in Central Florida. This week Johnna’s … unconventional way of applying makeup left Twitter users shocked and grossed out in equal measure.
