GIK Azul, A Unique Chilled Bright Blue Wine That Gets Its Distinct Hue From Grape Skins

A group of six Spanish entrepreneurs have created GIK Azul, a very unique chilled wine that is made with a combination of red and white grapes, has a sweet flavor and a very distinct bright indigo blue hue that’s created by grape skins. GIK Azul is only available for pre-order within the United States but is currently available elsewhere in Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

.Our wine comes from different Spanish and Franch vineyards, whose grapes we transform into Gïk. That’s right: we work with grapes from different areas of Europe, whose color and flavor we improve through food tech. We choose these wineries in terms of the people who work them and their innovative nature. That’s why Gïk has no denomination of origin, but a guarantee of quality and unique flavor. Our wineries are located mainly in La Rioja, Zaragoza and Courthézon. …Regarding its development, thanks to the flexibility to use a process that changes the color and flavor, blue wine is produced and bottled in different wineries and uses different types of grape. … According to its co-founders, “Drinking Gïk is not just about drinking blue wine; you are drinking innovation. You are drinking creation. You are breaking the rules and creating your own ones. You are reinventing traditions”.
