

Actual investigative journalism: who needs it?
At least, that’s what some people will likely conclude after watching these fake news reports from the Newseum, a museum dedicated to exploring the role of journalism in AmericaSage Boggs, a reporter from Mic, recently discovered videos uploaded to YouTube from a Newseum exhibit that invites guests to pretend to be reporters.
Put down your paper, turn off your TV: this is news you need to hear.
For the exhibit, called “Be a Reporter,” guests stand in front of a blue screen and teleprompter while reporting news “out in the field.” Guests read lines right off the teleprompter and get a real taste of what it’s like to be a broadcast journalist. Read more…
