Dramatic dash cam footage shows bystanders rescuing woman from burning car

Dramatic footage from a 10-vehicle pileup posted online Monday shows a group of brave bystanders rushing to rescue a woman from her burning car.

The crash, which took place on Route 17 in Binghamton, New York on Thursday, sent 10 people to the hospital with (not life-threatening) injuries and brought out the heroic side of a group of onlookers.

Binghamton’s Mayor, Richard C. David, released dash cam footage of the crash on Facebook, which shows bystanders fearlessly attempting to put out a car fire and rescue a trapped driver. Read more…
