If you happen to order a pizza online and you’re not careful, you can find yourself on the list for marketing texts from your favourite pizza purveyor. For example, I get around eight or nine texts a week, but fully half of those are special offers from a Domino’s in West Croydon, a particular outlet I used once in the year 2013. Getting so many texts from Domino’s is annoying, sure, but I guess it could be a lot worse.
In Winchester, a 20-year-old student ordered a pizza from Domino’s, and got way more than she bargained for (and I don’t mean extra garlic bread). After having the pizza delivered, this student started receiving messages from a number didn’t recognise… and things got creepy when she realised it was the very same delivery man from Domino’s.
