California-based artist Russell Powell has a unique painting technique which he calls hand-stamping. Powell uses his own palm as a canvas for painted portraits and then turns his freshly painted hand into a stamp, transferring his finished painting onto paper or canvas by pressing his hand to paper.

“With this technique, Powell is able to couple two of his artistic interests—portrait art and body painting—into a single practice. Additionally, this method is favorable for its unique aesthetic, as each portrait is entirely one-of-a-kind.”

We’d love to see Powell make his handstamps using Finger Hands!
