Behold The Floppotron, quite possibly the nerdiest orchestra…

Behold The Floppotron, quite possibly the nerdiest orchestra we’ve ever seen. Unless you’re really into obsolete computer hardware, the look of this project alone won’t amaze you, but stick with us. Polish engineer Paweł Zadrożniak created his Floppotron orchestra using 64 floppy drives, eight hard disks, and two scanners, so it must be heard to be appreciated.

In the video above you can hear it perform the main themes from Star Wars, but you haven’t heard anything until you’ve heard The Floppotron perform Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”:

And then there’s the theme from Hawaii Five-0:
