A Tour of Tekserve, New York City’s ‘Original Apple Store’, Which Is Going Out of Business After 30 Year

Gizmodo took a tour of Tekserve, New York City’s “original Apple store” on one of its last days in business with the store’s co-founder Dick Demenus. The store has been in business for nearly 30 years, but according to Demenus, the rising rent prices and multiple true Apple Stores in New York City have forced the store to close. In the video, Demenus shows some items in his unique collection of computers, radios, and other interesting artifacts that he sold off in a public auction.
