You Will Only See This Cheeky Message From Google If You’ve Been Watching Too Much Porn

Google’s Incognito mode has saved many a person from supremely awkward incidents. It’s such a simple feature that you wonder why no one had thought of it before, and it’s since proven itself to be a handy utility for shielding hormonal teenagers from embarrassment. All over the world, young boys and girls discovering themselves have been rescued from uncomfortable questions from their parents about the internet history on the family laptop by Google’s Incognito mode.

Even though that old myth about the internet being 90 percent adult material has been disproven many times (the majority of the internet is actually just spam and advertising space) there’s still a lot of erotic material online, and there’s no shame in admitting to using some of that material, from time to time.

The way it works is simple: by opening Chrome, and clicking “More” in the top right-hand corner and then selecting “New Incognito Window”, Google Chrome opens a new window where you can browse the Internet in private without the browser keeping a record of any NSFW sites you care to visit. You can switch between an Incognito window and a normal Chrome browsing windows you have open, and you’ll only be in Incognito mode when you’re using the appropriate window.

It all sounds pretty stealthy: a good way for the masturbatory habits of the world’s internet users to pass undetected. What you might not realise, however, is that Google is well aware of what you’re up to, and will send you a very cheeky little message when you’ve been loving yourself a little bit too much. The only problem is, it’s so subtle that you’ve probably been too … distracted to notice.
