Pregnant women deserve our utmost respect and admiration at all times. I mean, think about it: they’re continuing to trudge through their daily lives while simultaneously juggling ever-changing hormones and carrying a steadily-increasing amount of weight. They are literally growing a human being inside their body! And that is unassailably amazing.

However, tennis legend and super-babe Serena Williams has just taken pregnant badassery to the next level.

On Wednesday, Serena Williams dropped some major news: she is expecting a baby with her fiancé, Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, and is currently 20 weeks pregnant.

While this news is spectacular in and of itself, everyone’s jaw dropped when they did the math and realized that Serena won the Australian Open roughly 12 weeks ago, in late January … which would mean she won while she was pregnant.

It was Williams’ seventh time to win the Australian Open, and she didn’t drop a single set. And, since she is currently 20 weeks pregnant, fans deduced that she would have been around 8 weeks pregnant when she won the title.

Naturally, everyone is utterly flabbergasted at this unbelievably badass piece of Serena Williams trivia.

Bow down to Serena, male athletes everywhere.

Really puts certain complaints in perspective, doesn’t it?

She is a national treasure.

Thank you, Serena, for proving, once again, that women are forces to be reckoned with.

Okay, scratch that — SERENA WILLIAMS is a force to be reckoned with, and we should all just bow down to her indomitability on a regular basis.
