It was only a matter of time before people became bored and unsatisfied with standard YouTube makeup tutorials and decided to somehow add an element of danger.
Anne Rhycie Kate Custodio is the creative director for RANGE Advertising in Philippines, and has decided to execute some sort of “EXTREME MAKEUP TUTORIAL” by applying a full face of makeup and doing her hair while riding on top of a moving vehicle.
I don’t know, either. My only explanation is: The Internet.
Custodio was clearly looking to create some hot “viral content” for her ad company by pulling off this stunt, but she actually succeeded in executing the world’s most effective makeup safety video — the main lesson being, “Don’t put your makeup on while on top of a moving car.”
I have to admit that the whole thing is fairly impressive: Custodio curls her hair, contours and strobes her face, applies eyeshadow and lipstick, and even manages to apply mascara somehow. It’s a makeup tutorial that is not for the faint of heart — but rather for the incurably deranged.
If you find yourself wondering curiously what it’s like to attempt such a feat, I will simply leave you with this one piece of advice: DO NOT DO IT, YOU LOON.
Even Custodio almost falls off at the end, and while she handles her near-disastrous slip with surprising aplomb, we can’t all hope to be so lucky.
