Meet Eclipse, the latest winner of an honorary World’s Best Dog Trophy: this clever doggo lives in Seattle where she rides the bus to the dog park all by herself. She even has her very own bus pass, which she wears on her harness.
Eclipse got started riding the bus on her own when, while on the way to the dog park with her human, he’d get distracted at their bus stop and miss the bus, but Eclipse would still board and ride on ahead of him. Her human then catches the the next bus and meets up with Eclipse at the park.
“Eventually, this happened enough times that Eclipse was given her own bus pass and given permission to just go to the park by herself. Her dad always catches up eventually, but Eclipse now has full independence to get there on her own time.”
