Cracker Barrel Is Getting DRAGGED for Firing a Guy Named Brad’s Wife on Brad’s Birthday

Thanks to social media, we can directly and publicly slam pretty much anything that doesn’t meet our standards, and today, it’s Cracker Barrel’s turn. The “Old Country Store” is getting a full-force blast of public shaming, because the entire internet has decided to get behind a man named Brad who complained to the company on their Facebook page about the fact that they fired his wife Nanette on his birthday.

According to Brad, Nanette had worked for Cracker Barrel for 11 years before getting the boot, and his main complaint was that she was not given a viable reason for the firing. Once the internet saw his post, folks all over social media started dragging Cracker Barrel on every outlet they could, from Facebook to Twitter, even creating the hashtag #JusticeForBradsWife to bring awareness to the outrageous injustice bestowed upon the (probably) sweet and (hopefully) innocent Nanette.

For their part, Cracker Barrel has refused to respond to the complaints about Nanette’s firing, and has gone about their social media usage as if they are blissfully unaware of any backlash. But that obviously didn’t (and won’t) stop commenters from throwing some incredible shade at the company…

As many companies who’ve been dragged by the internet know, Cracker Barrel can only stay quiet for so long before they are forced to give a concrete and understandable reason for Nanette’s firing, and that’s because the internet. Does. Not. Quit. (And neither does Brad.)

Also, the internet doesn’t forget, which is why Cracker Barrel’s Wikipedia page has already been updated since news of Nanette’s firing got out…

  • Brad’s wife wasn’t fired on his Birthday. She was fired on February 27th and his Birthday is March 8th. But I love how people are running with it. I have read some of the posts and cannot stop laughing. It is terrible that she lost her job, but the trolling has me dying here!
